Question by : Should I Have a Fraud Alert issued? My wallet was recently stolen and it has some pretty personal info inside.Among the contents my SSN number to name 1.I am only 19 and I have yet to establish any credit.I was wondering sould I have a fraud alert issued just to be on the safe side?Because I looked it up and identity theft can be a very painful process to rectify.

Answer by MadMan 1) Have you made a police report? 2) You need to put a freeze on your name at all the credit bureaus. 3) There is no reason to ever carry anything with your SSN.
