Should people just not get involved with people that are illegal? What are the warning signs of marriage fraud? Do you think you would know if someone was with you for a green card or true love?

Most people don’t date after marriage.
If you’re in love, all this other hog-wash shouldn’t matter.
Just tell others to pay attention to their own businesses, and leave you alone to enjoy God’s greatest gift to mankind: LOVE.

you never will, many have been with an illegal for several years, soon as they are a resident etc… they are gone and usually with most of the possessions! Many fail to tell the citizen that they are invovled with that they may have a wife or husband in another country.
It is aiding and abetting an illegal and is a crime. No they should not get involved with illegals.

“Any person who . . . encourages or induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . . . residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . . imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.”
Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:
* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.
Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.
Marriage fraud is just getting married for the citizenship.

My husband and I married a month before WE gave birth to our child and he did not receive his citizenship until our son was 2. Immigration didn’t seem to notice that if they kicked him out of the country, he would be leaving behind a family.
In my opinion, time will tell whether you are involved in a fraud or if you have found your soul-mate. Is someone in a rush? Then I would seriously wonder about the validity.
some people don’t know if the other is with them for a green card. no i would never date an illegal. my daughter was dating a real nice boy who was mexican, spoke perfect english. come to find out he was illegal. his parents brought him here when he was 6 years old. he told my daughter she was going to marry him so he can become legal. she broke up with him. she said if he’s not already legal then she don’t need the problems. why would anyone set them self’s up for the heart ache and problems of the person they love being deported. the illegal wants marriage so they don’t have to pay for this arrangement.
You don’t know. That is why you should avoid all relationships with the criminal illegal aliens.

The reality is, most illegals are looking to marry a citizen so they can legalize their status. It doesn’t mean that some of them are not truly in love with their partner, but most cases they are just out to adjust their status
Just tell them you are not a US citizen and see how long they stick around. Or that you are separated but not divorced because your religion doesn’t permit to divorce soo you won’t be able to remarry, and you’ll know how much they really love you.
If you insist on dating someone who you suspect might be illegal or is on a tourist visa to soon run out, you should make sure that you make it clear from the beginning of the courtship, that you are not interested/able to get married for at least a few years. If this person is only looking for a quick marriage so they can get into the country legally then they will stop calling once they realize that it will take a few years to even get you to consider marriage.

If it is true love , then u will know it. Don’t listen to what everyone is telling you. Some immigrants do just want a green card, but they usually tell you ahead of time,(and pay you) so that they are able to live their own life without having to sneak behind ur back, BUT, sometimes they don’t tell you that is what they want, but I’m sure that you will be able to tell the difference!
I think that the best thing to do with an illegal person (They are not immigrants) is to report them. Anything less is just helping make the problem worse. You become a part of the problem rather than helping to solve it.
Don’t date someone you suspect is an illegal, problem solved.
well here goes, dont marry em if:
1) you dont know them (same goes for sleeping with them)
2) they seem really eager to marry you, but have only dated a short period of time (weeks or a few months).
3) you dont know their family. (get to know their family by traveling to their home country)
4) you dont know their friends. If their friends seem stand-offish about you maybe theres a reason why
5) you have any reason to question their fidelity (their are other women that come around, you find letters to someone in their home country, you hear rumors from their friends or yours)
6) you cannot communicate. believe it or not there are alot of “relationships” going on where the people cannot talk to one another… hmm i wonder what they ARE doing?
7) you dont love them. Dont try and do anybody any favors… only marry a foreigner if you would marry them if they were from the US.

9) you have alot of money and they have little money. Now keep in mind love doesnt have to do with money, but in this situation you may want to consider a pre-nup. If they arent in it for the money then theres no reason they should object.
10) They send large amts of money home on a regular basis. Yes most immigrants send money to Mom. but if it seems extreme or they are sending (on the reciepts) to more than one person it could mean they are sending to Mom and Wife.
so basically just keep an eye out for odd behavior, get to know someone thoroughly before having sex or marrying and realize if you do get scammed that you did everything you could. Its not your fault.
If I was an illegal, I wouldn’t marry a Woman just for citizenship because that’s wrong…
If you actually meet and date an illegal immigrant, lie to him and tell him that you are also illegal and see if he still wants to go out with you. That way you’ll see his commitment to your relationship and then its up to you if you want him to be your lifelong partner!

Its hard to tell but there are a few signs.
1) they dont take you to meet ANY family or friends.
2)the family/friends dont seem to like you
3)they ask too soon to marry you
4)they want a baby with you too soon(like the first few weeks/months
5)you suspect they are not talking to just mom when they call home to their country
6)they send alot of money home frequently(some is just to their parents but if it is a lot on a weekly basis)
7)they dont ask to meet your family/friends
8)they ask constintly about if you can help them get a green card
Always make sure you know the person well before you marry them.They could have different beliefs about child raising than you,or be abusive,or have a drinking problem or gambling problem.You just have to let time tell if they truelly love you or if they are just in it for the green card.
Move back to the person’s country of origin and see if they still love you and want to get married. They will probably move onto another citizen. You probably should not get involved with someone who is illegal.

You really can’t tell if you are being used. When you’re in love, it’s hard to see the truth about someone. If you’ve been in love before, remember how you felt at first and how you were blind to that person’s faults. Now, how do you “see” that person? Not so perfect after all, are they?
Be very, very careful when dating an illegal, especially a female. My nephew was tricked by an illegal woman who got pregnant within weeks of their intimacy. She’d lied about taking the pill, and he discovered all she wanted was an anchor baby so she could stay in the US.
He’d loved her and was heartbroken by her deceit. He also has to pay child support for a child he barely sees and who is not being taught English.
Beware, you too could get used. I understand this type of trick is not unusual. It’s terrible she used a baby like this, but there is nothing he can do.
My advice: don’t get involved. There are plenty of nice, legal, girls out there.

People should not put themselves in this situation in the first place. If they want to be with that person, then the illegal should do the paperwork, become legal, and then think about marriage,
try to find out every thing..family also lies in this matter..
my husband was already married to me,we have kids.he went to US,to earn,he started enjoying life there and stayed back after his visa expired and without my knowledge married a US citizen,and got a child..and when i came to know he said,he cant leave the US as he wants to become a citizen..but he can leave me and the kids..
his family to supported and lied with the citizen..
now he landed in jail,after this fraud in US..HE IS GETTING DEPORTED to his angry wife.. the US citizen is left with a anchor baby..just don’t trust illegals.

This is a very common scam. I myself am in a relationship with someone who lives in the UK and i have looked into everything surrounding marriage visas etc so that i am prepared when and if the time comes that we do decide to get married. The people guilty of marriage shams make it harder for people who are genuinely in love to be together.
If someone was in this country illegally or from a 3rd world country and you meet them online or something, i wouldn’t trust them if they were quick to bring up marriage. Many people all over the world fall for this, but i think i read that American and British men are the #1 victims of this. Its really sad. I even heard of foreign women knowing they were going to leave their husband as soon as they got their green card, and they intentionally have a baby for insurance. Plus immigration has to believe they are a bona fide couple. Of course most married couples WANT to have kids, so this plays perfectly into the scam.
The best way is to not get involved with an illegal immigrant. Tell them to become a citizen first.
