This is horrible. After watching this, I am NOT using PayPal.
@brainstormnl And then you’d go to prison…
@pufixas From 2006 and still very relevant, Paypal is even less safe now. They flip the story on you. They use the broad fear of online fraud in order to defraud you from your item and your money. No matter what the burden is on you and not the shady customer that bought your item. Paypal “WILL NOT” fight the credit card companies on your behalf. If paypal fought them paypal would no longer be in business.
keep us up-to-date!!!! i’m sooooo glad i read this, I had a fraudulent activity when i FIRST signed up and never used it agin until the other week … now i’m turning it off for good! For sure they may be okay the majority of the time but your story highlights the real problem with protection!
WOW! That is a crazy story. Contact the Better Business Bureau then on the anniversary date of the original sale, mail him a box of dogshit with a nice bow on top.
its old… this video is form 2006… paypal is safe now
In the last year I’ve sold about $5000.00 worth of items on Craigslist. Several were high-ticket musical instruments. On every one I got some scammer who wanted to use Paypal, money orders, cashiers checks, etc. DON’T DO IT!! You’re taking a big chance with no hope of any restitution. They wind-up with your item and you’re hung out to dry. My preference is Craigslist, it’s easy to use, including posting pictures and there’s no fee of any kind.
Anyhow, happy new year to all.
Yea I sold one item on Ebay for $350 but after being charged by ebay and paypal i only ended up with $300. $50 dollars for 1 item! Luckily I didn’t get scammed (just ripped off) but I don’t think I’ll be using any of their services in the near future because of the ridiculous charges and questionable protection practices.
Paypal really does suck, they blocked my account due to my name being similar to a terrorists.
i got scamed just then,a buyer who bought a pair of shoe frome me about a month ago,just inboxed me that he thinks it is fake,and he will do “whatever” it takes to get the money back,and on my ebay it CLEARLY listed that buyers can refund within 7days,after that,i cant help at all,so now on my paypal,it says -300.00$ on hold or something like that,i really hope ebay&paypal let me win this one,he is the biggest liar out there!
Use AlertPay, lower fees and they enforce YOUR sites Terms of Service
I just got a reverse scammed. Ugh. What should I do ?
Paypal is operating as an unlicensed bank. I am amazed that the Feds have not already come down on them.

@TheThingseyelike F**K ? YOU!. Karma caught up with him for mailing me an empty box.
@upinflamezzz
Oh so your another one claiming getting an empty box
Paypal just encourages the scum of the earth to surface and steal money from honest people
Karma will come around
You are correct, but it’s a 2 way street. I bought about $1,000 in gift cards from a guy and he mailed me an empty envelope and had me sign for it. Anyhow, that’s a low blow so I complained to him how shady that was and was going to presecute him for fraud. A month later he finally mails me the gift cards. In the mean time I’m pursuing a charge back. In the end, I get the cards and my money back because of the chargeback. I win! That’s what he gets.
Don’t I know it! $850 chargeback 14 months after the sale!
Paypal was worthless. Now I get 5 calls a day from their collections company.
Paypal is a party to theft of service.
@pikabko1 lol A B C 4??
Thanks for posting this video i almost got a paypal account, but now im not going to get a paypal account im going to stick with prepaid credit cards it sounds a lot safer.
And I am biting back too! You tube has scammers on here…
scamming a scammer… awesome..
Brilliant. Ok. I have 2 scammers who are each ‘working in humanitarian aid’ one part of the world who want me to send my Gumtree item to their respective ‘girlfriend as a gift’ in another part of the world. So now I will scam the scammer by shipping junk to them.
id send them rubber dogs turds i hate scammers with a passion the feed off the weak and still claim slavery put them where they are and then ask for aid cheek of it and to think eventually every afican country will just do it
65,000 in freight charges?? huh i thought they were poor.
65,000 in freight charges?? huh i thought they were poor.
People who pose in front of the cameras fot the scam-baiters are NOT scammers-these are innocent folks who get asked by the scammers to pose for the.Scammers are not that stupid-they watch all these youtbe stuff too.Its a sad fact.
Haha…thank u.
is anthony AKA shivermetimbers?
I find people who fall for scams as stupid as hell. Also sending a dude broken bit and pieces is dumb becos people get paid to recycle stuff to chinese companies in nigeria they would just make the money back.
Also the scammers are not only dealing with u, they are dealing with other people so the only person wasting time is u. And the scam baiter in the vid looks like he was stupid in the past and fell for it.
Are u not desperate for money would u rather go hungry.
ER u can walk into an internet cafe for very cheap about 50p per 1hr in nigeria so u dont have to be rich to own internet. Also everyone has internet on their fone in nigeria theseday so it not to hard to get one.
Hav u seen what the govment in nigeria is like, are u crazy people are sick and tired of getting nothing and are resorting to this so yes it for survival, and if i happens to make them a few 20000pounds every few months i think it better than waiting for an aid truck.
WIN
@ KingPanther13: I agree with you actually. It’s called ‘natural selection.’ If someone is dumb enough to believe these messages that are OBVIOUSLY BS then I think they deserve to lose their money. I mean we all have to have a little bit of common sense in this world, and those that don’t really shouldn’t be propogating their genes to future generations of idiots. I don’t believe that anyone could be dumb enough to fall for these scams. Even children are wiser than that.
Myabe he puts himself in a little risk, but that was really funny. I can imagine the face of the nigerian guy paying for the broken stove´s shipment. That´s a sweet payback.
cant wait until nigeria gets it s earthquake
it’s VERY fun! some tend to get scared though once they know you are on to them. I sent one of the 419 jerks a bag of fresh dogshit INSTEAD of the money he wanted and made him pay the shipping. what a dumbass LOL. I wish baiting could be a real job as I love nailing these assholes.
I just baited five of these 419 assholes. One is so dumb he kept on me even AFTER I got him arrested LOL. what a dipshit!
The girl reporter is CUTE!
good video i like it

I agree, generally they are not ‘SMART’ but they are very cunning…

hahaha this guys is my hero!
Nigerians were NEVER smart, this is a joke.
