Could Obama have been elected without ACORN’s voter fraud?

Judicial Watch Obtains New FBI Documents Regarding ACORN Voter Fraud Investigation
Washington, DC — June 9, 2010
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) related to the 2007 investigation and arrest of eight St. Louis, Missouri, workers from the “community organization” Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) for violation of election laws and voter fraud.
The documents include handwritten notes from FBI investigators interviewing canvassers working with Project Vote, an ACORN affiliate. Among the highlights from the FBI handwritten notes:
* [ACORN] “Told employees not to talk to the FBI. ‘FBI trying to intimidate you.’”
* Fraudulent cards:
o To cause confusion on election day to keep polls open longer
o To allow people who can’t vote to vote.
o To allow to vote multiple times.
* Project Vote will pay them whether cards fake or not – whatever they had to do to get the cards was attitude.
* Constantly threatened
* Staff restricted on what to say to FBI
* “Poverty pimpin” (sic) ACORN
* ACORN HQ is wkg for the Democratic Party.
* PV [Project Vote] pays ACORN $6.00 per card…Said “You treat the cards like (cash) $”
* Some [names] went right from the phone book and made up the rest.
* Canvassers: homeless, volatile, drug users, drunks…
* Anyone who was against PV (Project Vote) or ACORN’s goals “right wing”
* She thought if she used a completely fake name it would be less like ID Theft…”Yeah, it’s against the law, I know.”
In addition to the hand-written notes, the documents also include copies of the arrest warrants, criminal case cover sheets and court documents. In April 2008, all eight ACORN employees involved in the scandal pled guilty to voter registration fraud.
In March 2010, Judicial Watch obtained a separate batch of FBI documents detailing federal investigations into alleged ACORN corruption and voter registration fraud in Connecticut. The FBI and Department of Justice initiated investigations. However, the Obama Justice Department, while noting that ACORN had engaged in “questionable hiring and training practices,” closed down the investigation in March 2009, claiming ACORN broke no laws.
“These documents show the need for a national criminal investigation by the Obama Justice Department into ACORN. Is Attorney General Holder doing nothing because of Obama’s close connections to ACORN and Project Vote? The information in these new documents has national implications that cry out for further investigation,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Yes. Just because some kid wanted to be cute and say he registered “Mickey Mouse” to vote, doesn’t mean Mickey actually showed up at the polls, or that if he did, that he got past the election judges and voted for Obama.
not at all, remember, Hillary closed fast on him and he just barely eeked out the Dem nominee.
Hate to break the news to you, but judicial watch is basically the illigitimate child of Roswell Watch.
Acorn did a pretty good job altering the news polls too according to your theory since they were almost right on. Not only did they get the dead to vote, they got them to answer telephones!
There was NO documented cases of voter fraud by ACORN. There was only REGISTRATION fraud, because their field workers got paid by the name and some padded their list. But Mickey Mouse didn’t show up to vote, did he?
You need to accept that a lot of voters really wanted Obama. You cannot pretend it was a big fraud.
All allegations against ACORN have been investigated, results no conviction on any cases, or in legal terms frivolous accusations…
You know, it’s funny. Even if I agree completely that ACORN had a lot of terrible practices going on, I still couldn’t agree with this post. Know why? It’s because all they could even possibly commit is registration fraud. People need to bring valid ID with them to vote, as well as be registered. If they are registered but cannot present valid ID, they don’t get to vote. Know what that means? It means that, at worst, all ACORN could have done was register a bunch of people multiple times in multiple ways and inflate the numbers prior to the election. What’s amazing about that is that there’s no way that could lead to any sort of voter fraud unless the system at large was so extremely bad that they wouldn’t have noticed. If that’s the case, then EVERYONE committed voter fraud, which means ACORN isn’t the only one culpable.
Apparently you don’t know how our process of electing an president works.
Well just a heads up, even if there was voter fraud it wouldn’t matter because the popular vote does not determine the outcome the electoral votes do. Each state has a certain amount of electoral votes depending on how many representative are in that state. 270 electoral votes are needed for the candidate to win.
This is what they call the Electoral College, and Obama had well over 270 Electoral votes.
No fraud in the Electoral college sir.
You need to review your sources first. Judicial Watch is a Republican organization that has an EXTREME bias. They made a list of the most corrupt politicians a few months ago and Barney Frank and Barack Obama were on that list.
Judicial Watch is not a real investigative reporting outlet. Please don’t cite them as a source, most of those claims in the article can be debunked but I’m not going to take the time because you don’t care.
I don’t think “Acorn voter fraud” Produced a margin of victory of about EIGHT MILLION POPULAR VOTES.

Investigation, investigation, investigation…NO convictions for voter fraud.That SHOULD be your answer, but of course it isn’t. , ACORN did not “register” voters. They collected registration cards that were then turned over to the proper authorities for verification and registration, and they certainly had no way of influencing the vote of those from whom they collected a registration care, so it looks like this is nothing more than more right wing posturing about something they know nothing about. BTW, the Bush administration was no more successful in prosecuting, so this is not political, just more right wing posturing about something the know nothing about.
